in the Memorandum of Agreement in the case of Kai Tak, i.e. that the rights and benefits of the Royal Air Force shall be extinguished on such conditions as may be settled by mutual agreement, should apply to all land and buildings at Hong Kong occupied solely for Royal Air Force purposes.
7 I am to request that, if Mr. Secretary Ormsby Gore concurs, these views may be represented to the Hong Kong Govern- ment and to state that, should they be favourably received, appropriate action with the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, to whom a copy of this letter has been forwarded, will be taken as early as possible.
