DRAFT.

FURTHER ACTION.

Force, Far East, Squadron-Leader C. R. Keary,

O.C. Royal Air Force Station, Kai Tak, and

Major Glynn Evans, Principal Works Buildings

officer, Kai Tak, and it was unanimously

agreed that this area should be formed to

aerodrome level as soon as possible. The

question of finance was not discussed at

the conference, but as the area was for the

joint use of civil and service aviation, and

none of it for the exclusive use of either,

it seemed equitable that the cost of the

necessary work shou

hould as was the cost

regarding the original construction of the

aerodrome./be shared between the Colonial

Government and the Air Ministry,

8. The Governor later reported that

in the opinion of the Air Commodore stationed

in Hong Kong the extension was essential for

Air Force requirements and also for the

med of wvistim

permanent civil air service.

A

It may,

however, be noted that Imperial Airways had

used the aerodrome without extension for the

experimental flights from Penang to Hong Kong.
