with having two muitsai each.
(d) In the four cases of bringing unregistered
muitsai into the Colony, two defendants were each fined
$25.00. A third defendant who was summoned in respect of
two girls, was discharged.
(e) One prosecution was brought under section 9,
sub-section 2, and was the first of its kind. It was alleged
against the defendant that he had become the actual employer
of a muitsai in consequence of the death of the former
employer, and had failed to report the fact within one week.
A fine of $10.00 was imposed.
(f)
All the prosecutions brought for failure to
report change of address were successful. Two defendants
were each fined $25.00; four defendants were each fined $20.00;
three defendants were each fined $10.00; two defendants were
each fined $5.00; one defendant was fined $2.00 and one
defendant was fined $1.50.
(g) In the six cases of failure to report the intended
marriage of a muitsai, one defendant was fined $50.00; one
defendant was fined $10.00; two defendants were each fined
$5.00 and one defendant was fined $2.00. The remaining case
was adjourned sine die, the defendant having left the Colony.
(h) All nine prosecutions for failing to report the
intended removal of a muit sai from the Colony were successful.
One defendant was fined $50.00; one defendant was fined $25.00;
one defendant was fined $20.00; three defendants were each
fined $10.00; one defendant was fined $5.00; one defendant
was fined $2.00 and one defendant was fined $1.50.

Six prosecutions were brought against employers
for failing to pay wages. One defendant was fined $10.00
and ordered to pay the arrears of wages; and four defendants
were ordered to pay the arrears of wages, no fines being
inflicted
