With further reference to your letter of March 26th lust and other correspondence regarding your desire to travel to Hong Kong, I have to inform you that the Governor of Hong Kong has reported that it is in any case most undesirable that you should proceed to that Colony until after Mr. Ting has secured his aivorce. He further considers it inadvisable in your own interests that you should proceed to Hong Kong at all and you are strongly advised to abandon your intention of going there.
Your passport may be returned to you if you so desire, but I have to inform you that, at the request of the Colonial Office, it will first be necessary to endorse it as being not valid for travel to Hong Kong
