Cunliffe-Lister to acknowledge the receipt of your
letter No. 106781/34 of the 18th of January
regarding the retirement from the Home service of
Mr. J.C. Kaye, formerly Chief Clerk, Shanghai Post
office, and to request you to inform the Postmaster
General that he would be glad to be informed of
the amount of Mr. Kaye's final pensionable emoluments
(1.e. the consolidated figure on which Home pension
was based) and, also, what portion of the amount of
£2557.10.11 shown as "Bonus" in the statement
enclosed in your letter, was drawn prior to the
1st of July, 1934.
