I again earnestly request that immediate attention
The first payment
be given to my pension adjustment.
on my mortgage is almost due and I am unable to meet
it on account of the delay. The worry of being unable
to meet my commitments is seriously undermining my
health as I cannot sleep. It is very humiliating to me
to have to plead for my arrears to save myself from ruin.
I would respectfully point out that it is nearly nine
months since my vacancy was advertised. I am being
forced to reduce my standard of living to that of a lift-
man or a cleaner and I am nearly heart broken. It is
quite incomprehensible to me what I have done to merit
such treatment, or what the difficulty is. I was
transferred from the Hongkong Establishment without being
consulted and I have it in writing by the Colonial
Treasurer that this was done by the authority of the
Governor of Hongkong and that I should probably be
better
