3. Wales Borderers stationed at Murray Barracks. On the
afternoon of twenty second of June I was in Murray Barracks
and at 3.15 p.m. roughly I heard the noise of screams coming
from the nullah. I immediately went to the side of the
nullah in Murray Barracks. rivate acarthy came down with
me. Owing to something I heard I and MacCarthy climbed into
the nullah and started going down the tunnel. I was looking
for a little boy. I went down the left hand side going
towards the sea. I went right as far as the outfall into the
sea. I did not see the boy. We heard then the boy had been
