definitely Mary Fine, the second was definitely the N.A.A.F.I
employee and the European boy together, and the third bump I
cannot say anything about. For the time being I checked
Mary Pine and the other two then possibly owing to the
third bump the dam was broken and we went on. After the
N.A.A.F.I employee, the two children and, as I thought but
cannot be sure, another person had passed me I got up and
ran at the side, to the mouth of the tunnel.
Corporal Giles in the nullah and I saw Mary fine a couple of
yards inside the tunnel on her feet. I lifted her out and
handed her to Sert. Gaywood on the bank. I did not see anyone
else washed down I did not see Norman Stone.

There I saw
Before I actually saw Mary Pine on her feet I saw the
uropean boy disappearing into the tunnel.
X.X. Mr. Lim. I first got on to my feet immediately after
the dam was broken. It was eight or ten yards from the
tunnel. When the dam was broken the two European children
definitely went past me; the N.A.A.F.I employee, and another
person possibly, seemed to scramble out of the water. I do
not know Mrs. Fairburn.

I am a private soldier in the
stationed at Murray Barracks. On 22nd
June I was sentry on the bridge leading over the nullah near
Flagstaff House. I was by the Sentry box and I heard shouting
I rushed on to the bridge and looked down to Queen's Road. I
saw the body of a small European boy shoot under the bridge
down the nullah. I then ran down lurray Path to the edge of
the tunnel. I looked over the edge of the nullah and saw a
Chinese had hold of a little European boy. It was the same
boy that I saw washed under the bridge. The boy was Michael
