Nullah is paved with local stone slabs which have worn very smooth. The nullah bottom is saucer shaped.

There are steps at No.1 bridge. The steps are about 1'3".

The dotted line just above No.3 represents a water pipe about

3 above the paving of the nullah.

3 ft in centre and 2 ft at side where other stream joins.

No.1 bridge is supported by two stone piers apart from ordinary abutments.

Nos.2 and 3 go straight across in one span.

I am not absolutely certain about No.3.

No other irregular projections in nullah.

No.1 bridge on upper side is 6'6" above nullah on south side, in middle of bridge 8'4", and at north end 9'.

Length of bridge on that side is 43'.

On lower side of bridge the height is 8'5" on south, in middle 9'3", and 12'8" at north end.

Length of bridge is 51'.

Bridge is 12' to 13' wide.

One can get a view between them or over them

From No.3 one gets a clear view of No.2.

From N.F.corner of tram station one can see downstream to the point I have marked on plan.

I have marked the limits of visibility upstream and downstream from No.3.

From tram station one can see 140 feet downstream.

From No.3 upstream one can see 300 feet&downstream 396 feet.

The difference between the downstream visibility from tram station and upstream visibilty from No.3 is 55 feet,

I made these measurements on 29th August.

Width of tunnel is even throughout.

Paving same as in nullah.

Four gratings all open.

Height of tunnel at entrance is 8'9" and at exit 8'9*.

Exit is 3' below high water mark.

On afternoon of 29th August I went into tunnel with Pte.Simmons.

He pointed out a spot to me which I mark on plan.

Day I went there was a bright day.

I couldn't see across the tunnel at that spot.

Under No.1 bridge there are iron staples 1" thick 6'x5' projections forming steps. Chown on Exhibit 11.

Bottom step is 2 ft up, next is lft above it and obliquely set to it, next is lft higher, next 8", next 1'3", and last l′9′′.

Five steps are below level of bridge.

Fifth step up is '6" from edge of path and about 102 below footway of bridge.

xxd.Lim.

Between fourth and sixth steps there are pipes. Nullah is not straight, it winds a little.

No.rexn.
