If alcohol was taken later than 10.30 one would need less alcohol at 11.30.

of 30% 8 fluid ounces.

or 20% 12 fluid ounces.

of 18% 131 fluid ounces.

At 12.30 figures are 7, 11, and 124.

14.

At 1.30 62: 104 and 11.

If no urine had been passed between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. figures would be lower.

I received bottle at 9.48 8.1.

I began analysis about 10.30 a.m.

I have no doubt of correctness of papers from which I get figures.

I have made two previous similarvtests this year.

Rexd Fraser.

Bottle was corked and sealed absolutely airtight.

I see no reason why a dilute solution of alcohol should lose strength in so short a time.

Michael Pine was admitted on 22nd June at 3.40 p.m.

I saw him a few minutes afterwards,

He was unconscious and suffering from effects of immersion.

✓ He had a wound on head - bleeding - right of top of head.

It was shallow incised wound such as could be caused by striking any hard object.

Numerous bruises and abrasions about forehead and especially over knees.

He died at 6.10 p.m. same day.

Never regained consciousness.

Body identified by father Thomas Pine.

I did p.mortem.

Apart from wounds already mentioned skull was fractured from middle of back of head down to neck.

Lot ofsubcutaneous haemorrhage from fracture.

Death was due to fracture of skull.

I think violence was applied right on top of head.

A fall on the head on a stone paved surface would cause the injuries.

A fall froma height of 6 feet would cause injuries.

If a boy were washed down the nullah in a proge position with no projections in the nullah the injuries are not so likely to have been caused by battering inside as by fall froma height. Accused was admitted about 4.15 p.m. same day.

He was suffering from effects of immersion and was in dazed condition.

He had a number of injuries, wound on left side of head, numerous bruises and abrasions all over body.

Also fracture of right femur just above knee.

It was more like a crack, not much displacement.

Put into bed No.94 in prisoners' ward.

When I first saw him in receiving room all he would say in dazed manner was "Yam tsow".

Plain enough for me to distinguish.

I understand that to mean "drink wine".

Breath smelt of alcohol.

I made no special note about his eyes, nothing to attract attention.

I had specimen of urine taken from first urine passed.

Urine was passed at 6 p.m.

He passed no urine between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

I sent urine under seal to Branson.

I have heard Branson's evidence and agree with it.
