10. There is one small point to which I would invite attention in connection with the personnel of the Stores Sub- Department of the Police Department, Head 20 page 47. in your despatch No.132 of 4th April, 1934, you approved certain changes recommended in my despatch No.89 of 12th February,

In that despatch a fixed salary of $2,500 was recommend- ed for the Storekeeper and of $1,500 for the Assistant Store- keeper. The recommendation of a fixed salary in the case of

these two officers was made in error and salary scales of $2,500 - $3,500 by $100 annually and $1,500 $1,800 by $100 annually respectively have been included in the Estimates and I would request your covering sanction for these amendments.

11. The necessity for the replacement of Police Launch

No.1 Head 10 Sub-Head 27 was submitted to you in my despatch

No.427 of 27th July, 1934, and the expenditure was sanctioned in your telegram No.81 of 28th August, 1934.
