In paragraph 10 of (2) the
Governor draws attention to an error in the
salaries recommended for the Storekeeper and
Assistant Storekeeper in the Police Department. In 1 on 33771/34 fixed salaries of $2,500 and $1,500 were recommended for these two
posts respectively instead of incremental salaries of $2,500 and $3,500, and $1,500 d $1,800 by increments of $100. In the despatch on the Estimates we should specifically approve
the incremental scales.

It has been necessary to provide
$35,000 for the replacement of Police Launch
No.9 which was built in 1922 and has never
been satisfactory.
Item 27.
Provision of $250,000 for a new
Police Launch No.1 has been approved.
$70,000 is estimated to be spent this year
and $180,000 in 1935.
