Sir,

With reference to the second paragraph of your

Secret letter No. 1914/W/C of 26th June, 1934, regarding the

triangular area at Kai Tak, I am directed to inform you that

subject to paragraph 2 below and subject to the exclusion

from the transfer of the area cross-hatched red and marked

the plan referred to belowthere is no objection

to the Air Ministry taking possession on the terms there set

out of the area

required as shown coloured red on plan KT/55/

34 which was enclosed with that letter and is returned herewith

The retention by the Colonial Government of the area cross-

hatched red is necessary in view of the lay-out for the

future development of the neighbourhood.

It is requested that

the plan may be returned to this office after perusal.

2.

Certain portions of the area in question are

occupied by various persons on permit which call for three

months' notice of cancellation and until this notice has

expired the occupiers must not be disturbed except by consent.

Steps will be taken to give the required notice. There are

also certain telephone and other way leaves for the removal

of which proper arrangements must be made.

Details of all

these temporary incumbrances can be obtained from the

Director of Public Works.
