In reply to your letter dated March 10, in
reference to the above-mentioned a ccount, I am
directed to inform you that since the deceased was
a native of Hongkong, it would seem that the charge
for burial expenses should be paid by the Government
concerned, and cannot be considered as a proper
charge on the Shanghai Municipal Council.
