Sick leave up to a maximum of twenty-eight days on full pay in any numerical year may be granted to any officer by the Inspector General of Police provided the necessity for such leave is certified by a Government Medical Officer. Absence from duty on Medical Certificate beyond a period of twenty-eight days in any numerical year, except by permission of the Governor will be treated as full pay, or half pay leave or leave without pay as the case may be.

The European Force is composed of:
Chief Inspectors at £600 rising by annual increments
of £25 to £700.
Inspectors at 8475 rising by annual increments of
£20 to £535.
Sub-Inspectors at £370 rising by annual increments of
£15 to £430.
Sergeants at £260 rising by 2 increments of £20 and
5 of £10 to £350.
Lance Sergeants and Constables at £190 rising by annual
increments of £10 to £240.
Non-pensionable allowances for knowledge of languages
are granted as follows:-
