necessary information.
We should ?
(1) Write to the Crown Agents, reference
10 and reference telephone conversation
between Mr. Horsburgh and a member of this
Department, saying that there will be no
objection to their obtaining from Mr. Sprague
the information necessary to determine whether
it would be desirable to call for tenders for
the launch in this country at the same time
as tenders are called for in Hong Kong, and
adding that they will no doubt communicate
their advice on this point in due course.
(2) Write to Mr. Sprague, reference 7,
enclosing copies of (10) and the reply and
authorising him to communicate to the Crown
Agents any information they may require
regarding the new police launch.
(3) Send copies of (10) with enclosures
and our reply to Hong Kong under cover of a
despatch, reference 8, saying that a further
communication will be sent when the advice
of the Crown Agents, as to the desirability of
calling for simultaneous tenders for the new
launch in the United Kingdom, has been
received.
