Mr. T.N. Chau, member of Legislative Council, represent British and Chinese shipping interests respectively.
Mr. Lloyd as Superintendent of Imports and Exports and
the officer in charge of the Statistical Office is very
closely in touch with local business matters, as is also
His Majesty's Trade Commissioner, Mr. Pelham. Mr. Dodwell
is the head of the important import and export firm of
Dodwell and Co; Mr. Grayburn is Chief Manager of the
Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation; Mr. Joseph
is a large property owner and is interested in local
manufacturing concerns; Mr. Keswick is the Acting Head
in Hong Kong of Messrs. Jardine Matheson and Co; Mr.
Li represents Chinese business interests; Mr. Tam is
a barrister who rendered valuable service as a member
of the Retrenchment Commission, and Mr. Thomas is the
Manager of the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and
China.
The Commission is at present carrying
out its investigations.
