Island, in which connection I would invite attention

to paragraph 4 of Sir R.E. Stubbs' despatch No.381 of

1st October, 1924. The sum not exceeding $50,000 there

referred to has not yet been paid as no new Church has

yet been built to replace St. Peter's Church. The

Trustees have now asked that the sum should be utilized

towards the building of the Church, Church Hall, and Vicarage

on the new site referred to in this despatch. To

their request I have acceded, subject to your approval,

as Church Premises are urgently required in this

rapidly developing district. When the sum is paid the

present St. Peter's Church will be relinquished to

the Government.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient, humble servant,

Whe

Governor, &c.
