185. Taipo Road adjoining Castle Peak Road: Improvements. -The Contract for the improvements to Taipo Road at its june- tion with Castle Peak Road was awarded to Messrs. 192. Kowloon Tong Recreation Ground.-A portion of ground in Rutland Quadrant was levelled, turfed and equipped for use as a children's playground. A re-inforced concrete shelter with lavatories attached was erected. The Contract was awarded to Messrs. Nam Hing Co. on 3rd August, 1933, and the work was satisfactorily completed by the end of the year.

193. Kowloon Tsai Garden City Development (1st Section). -A contract amounting to $138,761.50 was let in March and work commenced immediately. By the end of the year 469,288 cubic yards of excavation had been removed, and the construction of the western side of the nullah in Waterloo Road had been completed. Minor storm-water drainage work was also executed.
