1. The Staff of this Department as authorized for the year ending 31st December, 1933 consisted of:-Superintendent of Crown Lands and Surveys, Assistant Superintendent of Crown Lands, Assistant Superintendent of Surveys, 8 Land Surveyors, 4 First
First Class Assistant Land Surveyors (Chinese), 1 Second Class Assistant Land Surveyor (Chinese), 22 Third Class Assistant Land Surveyors (Chinese), 3 Computers (Chinese), 82 Survey Coolies, 1 Chief Draughtsman, 15 Draughts- men (Chinese), 1 Senior Clerical and Accounting Staff Clerk, 7 Junior Clerical Service Clerks (Chinese), 7 Office Attendants and Messengers, 2 Senior Land Bailiffs and 4 Bailiffs.
EXPENDITURE.
2. As the Crown Lands & Surveys Department forms part of the Public Works Department and is accommodated in the same building, the charges for such items as light, heating, etc., cannot be stated. Omitting these items, the statement of costs is as follows:-
