With reference to Sir P. Cunliffe-
Lister's despatch No.440 of 27th November, 1934,
on the subject of the embezzlement of Goverment
funds by a shroff employed in the Police Department,
and to his despatch No.158 of 2nd May, 1935,
requesting a reply thereto, I have the honour to
invite attention to Sir William Peel's despatch
No.632 of 12th December, 1934, submitting his
recommendation in regard to the additional loss
of $800.00, and to Sir P. Cunliffe-Lister's despatch
No.44 of 30th January, 1935, conveying his approval
of the sum being written off.
