With reference to your despatch No.232

of 14th June, 1934, I have the honour to report that

I have granted to the Honourable Mr. W.H. Bell, member

of the Legislative Council, two months leave of absence

from the Colony as from 20th October, 1934, and that I

have appointed Mr. Stanley Hudson Dodwell, Managing

Director of Messrs. Dodwell and Company, Limited,

provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to

be temporarily an unofficial member of the Council

during Mr. Bell's absence.

A copy of the instrument appointing Mr.

Dodwell is enclosed.

In accordance with Colonial Regulation

175 I enclose also a list of the present members of

the Legislative Council.
