I had the papers registered in prepa-
ration for a despatch to Hong Kong about the
revision of salaries. I have just sent on a
draft about the same question in Malaya, and as the Hong Kong draft will have to be modelled on the Malayan draft, this paper should be re- circulated when the Malayan draft has gone. The relevant Malayan paper is33318/34 F.M.S.
