I am directed by Secretary Sir John Simon to
refer to your letter No. 33735/34 of the 31st July
enclosing copy of a telegram from the Governor of Hong
Kong on the subject of the revision of the Canton Kowloon
Railway working agreement, and to state that in tne
circumstances signature by the Governor and by the
Chinese Minister of Railways would appear to be the
appropriate course.
