Sir,
I have the honour to forward herewith
copy of a letter addressed by the Acting Managing
Director of the Canton-Kowloon Railway to the
Engineer-in-Chief, containing the text of a circular
telegram by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce at
Canton in which they protest against the construction
of a Loop Line to connect the Canton-Kowloon Railway
with the Canton-Hankow Railway. A translation of
the text of this telegram is also enclosed.
