Foreign Office that the programne outlined in your
Confidential despatch 9th January should be carried out
but that its execution should not be proceeded with
until the views of His Majesty's Minister Peking have
bean ascertained regarding the steps which should be
taken by His Majesty's Goverment vis-à-vis Chinese
Government.
