5 on
the receipt of your Confidential despatch dated 13810 33 21st November, 1933, on the subject of the
payment of the final instalment of $500,000 of
this Government's contribution towards the cost
of the new Naval Armament Depôt at Stonecutters
Island, and in reply to inform you that, while I
am prepared to go some way in meeting the wishes
of
the Admiralty regarding payment of the final

glad if, before any assurance on this point is
given, the Admiralty may be pressed to give a
definite and final date for the evacuation of the
present depôt.
Payment, if made, would be subject
to the deduction of the equivalent in dollars of
the sum of £5000 pending a settlement of the
question of the aerial ropeway.
Pay!
