(A)
Auditor to Hon. Colonial Secretary, Hong Kong.
9th July, 1934.
I should be glad if you would inform me
what arrangements have been made with the Banks with
regard to the raising of the new Government Loan.
2.
Except what has been made available to
the public in the prospectus and the allotment papers
I have no official knowledge of this loan or of the
accounting procedure that is being followed.
3.
I put the question forward now because
in making an application myself I noticed that
cheques had to be made payable to the Hong Kong
Government. This being so I presume some special
Government account has been opened which in due course
it will be my duty to examine.
(sa) P.L. COLLISSON.
Auditor.
