I have the honour to request your sanction

to the grant to the Chinese Anglican Church Body (in this case, successors to the Church Missionary Society) of an area of land amounting to 35,500 square feet shown on the enclosed plan, in exchange for Kowloon Inland Lot No. 1156.

Kowloon Inland Lot No.1156, on which stands Holy Trinity Church, was original granted on a restrictive lease to the Church Missionary Society without premium at a nominal Crown Rent of one dollar per annum. The new lot will be subject to the same conditions. A copy of the terms, which have been accepted by the lessees, is

enclosed.

A sum of $12,548, being the value of the

existing Church buildings is payable in accordance with the terms of the Crown Lease of Kowloon Inland Lot No.1156, and funds to meet this payment have been provided in the supplementary estimates for 1933, which accompanied my despatch No. 304 of 26th May, 1933.

The new site is considerably larger than the old, but in recommending the grant I have taken into consideration the fact that the compensation payable will
