No unc, I think, will deny that it is very inaccessible and therefore in- convenient according to modern ideas of communication. Morcover despite the provision of central heating the house cannot be described as pleasant to live in in the months when it should be a real relief to the Governor and his family from the stuffiness of the lower levels. The new site therefore needs to be lower than Mountain Lodge and higher than the present site also quieter. eth these considerations are met by the Magazine Gap site and any misgivings as to accessibility should be removed by item 24 of the memorandum on Public Works Extraordinary, $60,000 for widening Magazine Gap Road. That is all I have to say on the details of expenditure with the exception of Loan Works. I will no sum up the results. The estimated totals are expenditure $33,442,695, revenue $31,731,625, leaving a deficit of $1,711070. The present year is expected to close with a surplus of assets over liabilities of $13,309,301 including the million and a quarter from the City Hall sitc.
