VI.-An officer who is retained may be granted accumulated

leave on full pay including the voyage at the rate of one

day in respect of each eight days resident service on

completion of five years resident service.

Whereafter

and until the officer shall have attained the age of 45

and completed 20 years service accumulated leave on full

pay including the voyage may be granted after each

completed period of four years resident service at the

rate of one day in respect of each seven days resident

service; provided that the maximum period of leave shall

not exceed sight months at one time. When the officer

attains the age of 45 and completes 20 years service

accumulated leave, subject to a maximum of seven months

at one time, may be granted at the rate of two days in

respect of each eleven days resident service after each

completed period of three years resident service.

VII. Should an officer be allowed to continue in the

Force on the completion of his second term of service,

he may, on his final retirement, be allowed a pension

according to regulations from time to time issued by the

Colonial Government, with the approval of the Secretary

of State. No pension will be granted for less than ten

years' service, nor until the officer has reached the age

of 45 years, except in case of retirement on the ground

of 111-health, when a pension may be granted, upon the

recommendation of a Medical Board, after ten years'

service. Provided an officer's conduct has been

uniformly good, and he has attained the age of 45 years,

pension may be calculated at the rate of fourteen-fiftieths

of his salary for ten years' service, with an addition

of one-fiftieth in respect of each complete year of
