Report on R Fair
I have the honour to forward
herewith copy of a report on the British mire
held at Hong Kong from May 14th to 27th, which
has been kindly supplied to me by the ecretary
of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
E. I received an invitation to
attend the opening ceremony, and accordingly
proceeded to Hong Kong on the evening of the
23rd, where I was the guest of is cellenay
the Governor for two nights.
3. The Committee in charge of the
Lair had previously written to this office to
say that they would be very glad to extend
invitatione to any of the members of the
Frovincial Government, and their wives, who
might care to attend the opening ceremony, and
that accomodation would be provided for the party
at the reninsula Hotel.
4. I accordingly caused enquiries
to be made, and was agreeably surprised to find
that there was a gencral response to this
invitation.
