Age to be about 27 years. Candidate should preferably be single and must be a member of the Pharmaceutical Society and have passed the minor examination of that Society.
Duties. To take charge of one or more of the Government Hospital dispensaries or Medical Store and to perform and supervise the dispensary and compounding of drugs, etc., as required; also to a ssist in the training of native dispensers.
£400 to £580 by £20 annually.
3. Allowances, quarters
and other circumstances affecting the value of the office.
Partially furnished rented quarters ir available. If quarters are supplied by Government a deduction of 6 per cent (or 7 per cent if heavy furniture is provided) will be made from the Officer's salary. If Government quarters are not supplied an officer who rents a tenement with the permission of the Government, receives a rent allowance in the sum of the rent and taxes payable in respect of the unfurnished tenement less a sun of 6 per cent of salary. The maximum monthly rentals inclusive of taxes which are recognised by the Government are as follows:-
(a) In the case of an officer whose
salary exceeds £1,400 per annun, $250 per mensen.
(b) In the case of an officer whose
salary exceeds £1,100 but does not exceed £1,400 per annum, $200 per
mensem,
(c) In the case of an officer whose
salary exceeds £700 but does not exceed £1,100 per annum, $175 per mensem.
(a) In the case of an officer whose salary does not exceed £700 per annum, $150 per mensem.
A tenement is taken to be a separate house or a self-contai ned flat or two or more rooms, but does not include accommodation in a hotel or boarding house, or, except with the express approval of the Government, a single room or two rooms occupied by an
