With reference to Sir Henry May's despatch
No.87 of the 19th March, 1914, I have the honour to
inform you that on the advice of the Hong Kong
University Authorities I have approved of a
modification of rule 2 of the rules governing the
award of King Edward VII Scholarships.

The amended rule reads as follows:-
"Rule 2.
Each scholarship shall be of the annual
value of £40 and shall be tenable for four years if held in the Engineering and Arts Faculties and for
six years if held in the Faculty of Medicine."
