Gentlemen,
We inspected this morning the eight views of Hong
Kong by Mr. Bruce, which your representative kindly brought
into us, and found that these were lithographs and not
original sketches. The value of the items is, we fear,
comparatively small, as they are not the original drawings,
and we consider a fair price as between a willing buyer and a
willing seller would be £4. 4s. Od.
In the special circumstances, as the value of the
items is comparatively small, we will only make you a
nominal charge of £1. 1s. Od for our opinion. We enclose
our account herewith, for which we shall be glad to
receive a settlement, at your convenience.
