Dear Bushe,
With reference to the Hong Kong Piracy case,
Wilfrid Lewis thinks that all that need be printed in
the Appendix for the use of the Judicial Committee of
the Privy Council is the Order in Council dated the 10th
November 1933 referring the question to the Board and
the Judgments of the Hong Kong Court in the case of
Rex v. Chung Tam Kwong and others delivered on the 1st
April 1931. There are, however, three other documents
which he thinks might be of interest. Two of them are
referred to in the Judgment of the Hong Kong Court,
namely, the proceedings in the cases of the "Suning".
and the "Haiching" piracies. He would like to be
furnished with a certified copy of the documents on
the file of the Hong Kong Court in the cases of the
"Suning" and "Haiching" piracies. Will it be possible
for you to arrange for these documents to be obtained
from Hong Kong?
The third is the case referred to in Miss
Crump's book on Colonial Admiralty Jurisdiction in the
Seventeenth/
