Dear Gent,
As agreed by telephone yesterday, I am writing
to Taylor saying that you are amending as follows the
draft telegram about a Hong Kong Loan which he left with
you in the morning :-
For the sentence beginning in line 10 with the
words "with a currency of 20 years" substitute
the following sentence :- " with a currency of
20 years 3% at 95% is equivalent to 3% at par
Iassuming that the same sum is applied each year
for drawings and interest combined) and with a
currency of 30 years 3% at 94 is likewise
equivalent.
On the question of urgency which you also
mentioned, it may be well to point out that if the point
put for immediate consideration near the end of the
telegram is not settled within the next few weeks and if
