I have the honour to submit for the signific-
ation of His Majesty's pleasure the following Ordinance
intituled :-
An Ordinance to amend and consolidate the
law relating to the Hong Kong Volunteer
Defence Corps.
The opportunity has been taken to include
provision for the compulsory retirement of Volunteer Officers,
following the precedent set out in paragraph 137 of the
Territorial Force Regulations, 1929.
The usual report by the Attorney General is
enclosed, together with a Table of Correspondence.
