July, and to request you to inform
the L.'s of the Admiralty that
a redrafted Bill for a Hong Kong
Ordinance entitled "The Foreshore
and Sea Bed Works Ordinance" has
recently been under his considera-
tion. The Bill contains the
Saving Clause referred to in your

letter a reads as follows:-
"Nothing in this Ordinance
shall be deemed to authorise the
construction of any works within
or interfering with the Admiralty
works authorised by the Naval and
Military Works Ordinance, 1906,
without the previous consent of
His Majesty's Lords Commissioners
of the Admiralty."
