I think The
Hong Kong Foreshore and Sea Bed Works
Ordinance.
Sir Thomas Southorn telephoned to me this
morning from the Grosvenor Hotel, where he had
been staying. He is returning to Leamington today
and will come up to town again next week to see
the S. of S. as arranged at 4 p.m. on Wednesday,
the End of August.
Sir T. Southorn received this morning my
letter of the 26th of July which had been forwarded
to him from Leamington. For the purposes of the
discussion at the Office next week he suggested that
it would be very useful to have the following
papers:-
x
Kwo in Jameson 400m maps will fo sufficient for Sut south on',
pup one. Me
(1) A copy of the Hong Kong Crown Lands
Resumption Ordinance, which contained
expropriation provisions somewhat similar
to those proposed in the Foreshore and Sea
Bed Works Ordinance:
(2)
A plan of the water front of Hong Kong, or
failing that a chart of the big harbour
development plans for the Colony drawn up
some years ago.
Would you please try to get these papers?
The Library will have copies of (1), and no doubt
the Crown Agents and /or the Admiralty can supply
copies
