Representations regarding the Hong Kong
Foreshore unu Sea Bea Works Bill have been received
from the China Association (5) on 92583/24/32 and (2) on 13717/1/33) which has been in corresponuence
on the subject with the Hong Kong Chamber of
Commerce, anu from the Foreign Office ( (3) and (9) on 92583/24/32 anů (8) on 13717/1/33).
We have
also received a communication on the subject from
John Swire and cons Limited ((1) on 13717/1/33)
which was sent after Mr.J.Swire had mentioned the
matter to Mr.Cowell (see Mr. Cowell's minute of 19.11.32 on 82746/31/31).

It should be noted that through a
misunderstanuing the representations made by the
Foreign Office were originally airected against the
Foreshores and Sea Bed Amenument Ordinance and some
of the relative minutes will therefore be found on
92585/24/32 which concerns that Ordinance)
