With reference to your letter No.82771/31
dated 21st January, 1932, in connection with the
Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong, I am commanded by
My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to state
for the information of the Secretary of State for
the Colonies, that in consequence of the continuance
of the difficulty of making financial provision
for the erection of the new Hospital, They desire
that the matter should be held over for another year
from the 1st April next, and They would be glad to
be informed that the Government of Hong Kong will
permit their offer to remain open for that extended
period.
2.
I am to request that you will be so good
as to communicate with the Governor to this effect
by telegraph so that a reply may be received before
the Navy Estimates for 1933 are finally settled.
