I am commanded by the Air Council to acknowledge the receipt of Mr. Overton's letter of the 28th ultimo, covering a copy of the Board' » letter to the Colonial Office,
In reply I am to state, for the
information of the Board of Trade, that they coneur in the terms of the letter to the Colonial uffice and welcome the prospect of improved facilities for the importation of aircraft material into China through Hong Kong. The procedure under which the Government of the Colony would accept full responsibility for the future movements of importations should remove many of the present difficulties: in particular, the opportunity of using Hong Kong as a depot at which British aeronautical material can be displayed should be of great value to the aircraft industry in this country, The Council trust that it will be possible to adont the new arrangement at an early date.
oopy of this letter has been sent to te Colonial office.
I am.
sir.
Your obedient Servant,
The Secretary
Bourd of Trade,
