Canadian Pictures.

An interesting feature of the Fair was the

continuous screening of Canadian motion pictures supplied

for the oceation by the Canadian Government Trade

Commissioner.

Mumber of Visitora,

It is estimated that 18,000 people attended the

fair, which was thronged throughout the two days of

whon a large proportion must have been chinese, The

closing time had to be extended one hour and visitors

had to be persuaded to leave.

Success of the Feir

On all sides people were talking of the success

of the Fair. It has proved many things and more than

anything else it proved the value of advertising and

judicious publicity. Many firms were delighted with

the orders they received. All Dominion representatives

agreed that their respective countries would benefit

materially as the result of the Fair. They expressed

the hope that the Fair would be an annual one and

indicated that exhibits from their respective countries

would be bigger and better next year. The "South China

Morning Post" in its leading article of May 25 advocates

the holding of an Annual Fair on a much larger scale

which would be self-supporting.

Cost of the Fair

The cost of the Fair was defrayed by subscriptions

totalling $1,970 of which the Hongkong Government gave

$1,500
