"Anchor" product which caused some enquiry was "Ankoria",
a food for babies. Keller, Kern & Company are the local
agents.
South Africa.
The representation of South Africa was organised
by Mrs. J. B. Newill.
Messrs. Cal@beck, MacGregor & Company exhibited
South-African wines such as "Dry Dominion" Champagne,
"Drakenstein" hock and "Claret Shower". Messrs. As Sa
Fatson & Company shewed a famous liqueur "Van der Han"
made in South Africa from peaches* since the very early
Dutch days at the Cape.
Cigarettes made of South African tobacco and
coal from Natal complete the exhibits in the South
African section.
The stall was very tastefully decorated with
the South African colours - orange, white, and blue,

Entertainment.
The entertainment of visitors was well-looked
During the afternoon a well-balanced prograRELO
of band music was supplied by the band of EK, S.
"Cornwall" and the Peninsula Hotel Band also rendered
pleasing selections,
The Anderson Huade Company, Limited, lent a
collection of instrumental and vocal Empire recoris,
made by the Columbia Company. The music was broadcast
to all the public rooms of the Hotel by Arnhold's
Radio Servios Limited,
At night the exterior of the Hotel was picke d
out in red, white and blue lights presenting an
imposing sight from the harbour,
*or, according to some people, naartjes.
