On the 22nd March accused met Zimmern in Queen's Road

and was told he had tried the hypodermic syringe with excellent

results on a fowl. later also Christie met him and at his

request procured a larger syringe, a 5 c.c. also from the

Tharmoy. That was the end of the project to procure or to

help to

pretend to/procure the death of Fung. They both insist that they had no idea of harming Fung but of windling accused out

of the promised $10,000.

Coming to the day of the murder, the 24th March, on

that day Zimmern and Christie both saw the accused at the fung

Shan Hotel between 1 and 2 p.m. and accompanied him later to the

cinema which they left before the picture was over inasmuch as

accused did not appear to like the show. At about 4 n.m.

Christie fades tem orarily out of the picture but Zimmern remained

for the rest of the day in the company of the accused.
