CHRIST'S HOSPITAL,

HERTFORD.

11th March, 1929.

I have great pleasure in stating that miss MARY DOLMAN was a pupil in this school for seven years, and that throughout that period she bore an excellent record both for work and conduct.

She had ability considerably above the average and before leaving school she passed both the Matriculation and Higher Certificate Examinations. She always worked with great zeal and industry at theoretical lessons and from the beginning of her school career she showed special aptitude and enthusiasm for Games and Gymnastics, acting finally as a very efficient Captain of the School Hockey XI. After leaving school she went to Chelsea Physical Training College where she has had a markedly successful career.

As a senior member of Form VI and as Head of her House here she proved herself unfailingly loyal, trustworthy and reliable. She always had a well-developed sense of responsibility, and an innate gift for leadership, and exercised a splendid influence over younger girls whose liking and respect she readily commanded.

She was very public- spirited and took a keen interest in all school activities. She always took a leading part in Games and Sports, she was a Choir Leader and took active parts in School Dramatic Entertainments and in the Science Discussion Society.

She has a very bright and attractive personality, wide interests a marked gift of enthusiasm and very sound principles. She is thoroughly refined in speech, manner, mind and appearance, and I have every confidence that she will make an ideal teacher and will go far in her profession.
