Miss MARY WALKER ROGER entered this College in October 1922 and has now completed the full course of training of three years duration. In addition to her ordinary work Miss Roger has prepared for the Conjoint Examination of the Chartered Society of Massage and Medical Gymnastics.
Miss Roger came to the College with good examination certificates, and as a student her work has been marked for its intelligence and thoroughness. of the theoretical subjects belonging to the course she has done especially well in Anatomy, Physiology, and Hygiene. She is also a good gymnast; swims very well and in good style and has reached a good standard in country dancing. While at the College she has gained the advanced certificate of the Amateur Swimming Association and the advanced certificate of the English Folk Dance Society. She has reached a satisfac- tory standard of play in Games and has a sound knowledge of the theory of each.
Miss Roger is a very promising teacher. She has had varied experience of teaching during her training and in her third year has been attached to a large secondary school, and has handled classes with skill. She is energetic and obtains excellent response from the children whom she teaches. Her lessons are prepared with care and she fully understands the theoretical principles underlying her practical work.
Miss Roger has been a serious and responsive student. She has a cheerful disposition and courteous ways, and from the point of view of personality she is likely to be welcomed by other members of staff. She is thoroughly capable and I believe that she will be a loyal and helpful member of staff in the abhool to which she is appointed.
