Company is prepared to agree to the proposed amendments to the supplementary agreement but now states it is not in a position at the present time to commit itself to the terms of the principal agreement as this involves questions of policy concerning the suppression of cables which are still subject of discussion with Imperial Communications Advisory Committee. Company suggests it would be convenient to both parties to proceed with completion of supplementary agreement in order that services may be taken over as soon as possible leaving question of principal agreement in abeyance.
References in the supplementary agreement to the principal agreement would have to be deleted and the sunstance of the relevant articles of the draft
principal agreement incorporated.
