10. The name, address and occupation of each candidate for admission as a Member shall be posted conspicuously in the Office of the Secretary and such other places as the General Committee may decide prior to the day of ballot and shall also be entered in a book kept for that purpose. No candidate shall enjoy the privileges of the Club without the permission of the General Committee (or of at least two members thereof) which permission may at any time be cancelled.

11. Any two members of the General Committee shall open the Ballot Box. Two black balls shall exclude; and not less than five Members shall constitute a Ballot. In the event of a Ballot being void by reason of less than five Members having balloted, the candidate shall be deemed not to have been elected and to come within the operation of Article 13.

12. On the election of a Member the fact shall be notified to him in writing and a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association and of the Bye-laws of the Club, with a bill for the entrance fee and the current subscription, shall be forwarded to him.

13. If at any time after the election of a Member a majority of the General Committee shall be of opinion that he has been elected under any misrepresen- tation, or if any material information as to his antecedents has been withheld they shall, after inquiry, and notice to the person so elected have power to erase his name from the List of Members, and he shall thereupon cease to be a Member.

14. The number of black balls shall not be disclosed.
